If you are going to eat bread it should be sourdough! It not only tastes SO yummy but it has loads of nutritional benefits!
The starter that makes sourdough bread is fermented which means it breaks down gluten and which makes it easier for our bodies to digest.
Easier to digest = LESS BLOATING!
Sourdough contains prebiotics and probiotics that again make it easier to digest as well as increase vitamin and mineral absorption in the body. Our body absorbs more nutrients from sourdough than any other bread including vitamin B, selenium, and iron. These minerals help with red blood cell production, metabolism regulation, immune system protection, and more!
I love this recipe because I’m a HUGE bread lover and when I eat sourdough I know that it is helping my body more than hurting it. When buying your sourdough be sure to buy it from a farmer’s market, online bakery, or fresh from a bakery. Many sourdoughs are not the real thing! 8. Take fresh croutons of the oven and ENJOY! |
My favorite way to enjoy these crunchy croutons is on my soups and salads! And sometimes on their own as a snack, they are that yummy!

I always store my extra croutons in a Ziploc baggy to use throughout the next couple of days!
